Fusion sushi lunch

A few weeks back, my creative agency was so kind to take me and the team out for lunch. After a long morning of meetings, at around 12.30 we headed to Tsunami, a very intimate Japanese restaurant in trendy Charlotte street.

The interior is sleek and contemporary, with dark pink floral motifs on the white walls, and scented candles scattered around the dining area. What we ordered (all for sharing): Red-hot chili edamame, strongly recommended, if you like a bit of a spicy kick. Mixed tempura, with vegetables, and prawns. The tempura was served piping hot, really crispy and deliciously complemented by its mouthwatering pink dipping sauce.

The luxury sashimi selection with yellowtail, tuna, octopus, scallop, seabass, salmon, sweet shrimp, masago, tobiko, beautifully presented and so fresh that literally melted in the mouth; perfectly accompanied by strong wasabi and ginger.

Dragon Roll, prawn tempura wrapped in eel, avocado, cucumber and scallion, so lovely.

Some moreish, and incredibly tasty tuna truffle mayo rolls and a selection of salmon and tuna maki.

Would I go back? Yes, my experience was excellent. On this occasion I didn’t pay, but I noticed that prices are not on the cheap side. I know however that they run quite a few lunch deals, with decent discounts (up to 50%).
