Indian street-food pit stop

Last week, after a pretty intense Bikram yoga class, I needed a quick late-lunch pit stop, and Mooli’s was just a stone’s throw away, in Frith street. This tiny shop sells tasty Indian street food, sort of burrito-wraps made with Roti, Indian flatbread, filled with very appetising and healthy ingredients.

This time, I went for the exquisite and succulent chicken Mooli, with lentils and crunchy pickled turnips, finished off with fenugreek and raita. A perfect combination of textures. To drink I was tempted by the delicious mango lassi, packed with tropical flavours.

After ordering at the till, a smiley waiter brought my lunch to my seat by the window; the perfect spot for watching the diverse and colorful Soho demographics.

Pity I was rushing, and I couldn’t stop for an authentic espresso at Bar Italia across the road:(. Bar Italia is one of the oldest Italian cafes in Soho, founded in 1949, and is open 22h/day! From 7AM to 5AM. A little gem for a real Italian caffe’.

My verdict: Mooli’s is a good option for lunch if you are out and about in Soho. Good value for your money. They also offer a breakfast menu and recently started delivering to the Soho area.
